EYH 2025 Planning Committee Recruitment
TLDR: Want to help plan the 2025 EYH conference? Fill out this interest form!!

Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) wants you! EYH plans and implements a daylong conference, which serves to introduce middle school girls, and non-binary and gender non-conforming youth to career opportunities in mathematics, science, engineering, computer science, and technology. Between 5th and 8th grade, the percentage of girls interested in STEM falls from 50% to 20%. EYH strives to provide these students with role models already involved in STEM careers.

We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic graduate students or post-docs to join our planning committee! We particularly value women and non-binary volunteers, and those that come from a variety of life experiences and backgrounds, though all are welcome to volunteer. We have multiple committees to be involved in: finance, logistics, finance, recruitment/materials, workshops, and registration. The PC meets once a month and workload can vary. Every member of the planning committee is equally important to a smooth, successful conference, which will be held in April 2025 (exact date TBA).

We will be hosting a planning committee recruitment meeting on Friday, September 11th from 12-1pm in Latimer 425.

Feel free to contact me (atrzcinski@berkeley.edu) with any questions or concerns and we hope to see you at our welcome meeting!
