Meet and greet with prospective College of Eng. grad student women
The College of Engineering has invited us to host a meet-and-greet with newly admitted
women in engineering PhD programs. If you would be able to volunteer at this event,
the College of Engineering will thank you with a $25 gift card! Please fill out this

Friday (3/12) for us to gauge interest and schedule a date.

Department of Molecular & Cell Biology/HWNI here at UC Berkeley.
The Leading Light distinguished seminar series highlights and amplifies
the voices and scientific work done by outstanding People of Color
leaders and future leaders in STEM. Distinguished speakers are invited
to present their exciting research led by a brief introduction on how
they navigated their path as a scientist.

GradSWE Programming Coordinator Opportunity
Apply by March 20, 2021
GradSWE is looking to fill the graduate programming-coordinator-elect
(GPC-Elect) position. The GPC-E is responsible for aiding the GPC
in organizing content for graduate students at the annual conference.
This is a two-year commitment - you will spend the first year as GPC-E,
then move on to GPC for the second year. This position is to be filled
by a SWE graduate student or recent Ph.D./M.S. graduate. The position
is filled following the Society conference (i.e. the position runs
February 2021 to December 2022). All meetings are through conference calls,
except for required conference attendance for both WE21 and WE22.

Empowering Women of Color Conference
March 12-13, 2021
The virtual “36th Annual Empowering Womxn* of Color Conference” brings together
cutting edge womxn of color activists to discuss and strategize ways
of impacting the current issues facing womxn of color. The theme this
year is: Igniting leadership, confidence, and cultural strength
amongst Black & Indigenous womxn and womxn of color. The keynote
this year will be Roxane Gay. The conference will consist of several
workshops, panel discussions, keynote and a chance to explore several
vendors.

Graduate Womxn Project Open Mic Night
March 12, 2021 from 6-8pm PST
Our first open mic for this semester will be this Friday. This series
provides a space for performances celebrating the voices of womxn of
color, and will include a featured artist. This event is free and all
are welcome to attend.
