30 Day #DoTheWork Workshop
30 Day #DoTheWork is a workshop led by Rachel Elizabeth Cargle, an expert on racism,
sexism and intersectionality, especially in Academia. GWE, LAGSES, SACNAS,
and Bias Busters, are starting this course on TODAY (9/1) as well as holding
weekly zoom discussions, which will hopefully be followed by a guest speaker. Weekly
discussions will be held at the beginning of every week in September.
When: Tuesday Sep 8 6:00 PM
Monday Sep 14 6:00 PM
Monday Sept 21 6:00 PM
Monday Sept 28 6:00 PM
Where: Zoom (Meeting ID: 933 5321 4667)
“This course is designed to be an eye-opener and call to action for those who seek to be
allies to Black women,” where there is a daily read, watch, or do action. Completing this
course does not deem us as official allies. “I hope that through my course your heart and
mind will unlearn, expand, grapple, dissect, engage, and build a critical awareness that
will change the way you move through the world as an ally” -Rachel Elizabeth Cargle
Online Activism in Support of BLM
In support of Black Lives Matter, SACNAS, LAGSES, & Bias Busters are holding a weekly Online Activism event to help define
concrete actions we can take in our communities. Join us as we go through the steps of contacting
your federal, state, and city government officials and advocating for policy change. We
plan to sign and gather petitions, send emails, and if you wish even call your
representatives during these meetings.
When: Thursdays @ 1pm
Where: Zoom (password: 623079)

The Graduate Womxn Project ZINE Celebrating 150 Years of Grad Women
This October, Berkeley celebrates
150
Years of Women (150W) being admitted to the university. At the beginning of this year,
Graduate Womxn’s* Project (GWP) proposed
a zine to highlight and document the amazing work of Berkeley’s graduate womxn. The zine will be a living project,
and all graduate womxn are welcome to participate by sharing
music, poems, short stories, photography, dance performances, visual media - anything you’d
like to share! We aim to produce a hardcopy and a digital platform to allow for all types of
creative expressions. If you're interested in volunteering with the
GWP Zine Working Group,
please complete this
form.
The website to submit your work will be released soon, so stay tuned! The GA GWP is also highlighting amazing graduate womxn!
Please nominate a friend,
colleague, or GSI to be featured on GWP’s social media platforms.
